Pond data are held in the National Pond Monitoring Network database

The National Pond Monitoring Network aims to increase the amount of data collated on the UK's ponds and to make it publicly available.

Through our website you can:

• view pond data and explore Priority ponds on our interactive Googlemaps.
• add data to the National Pond Monitoring Network database using a selection of downloadable spreadsheet forms.
• submit data for PSYM (Predictive SYstem for Multimetrics) analysis to get an ecological quality assessment of a pond you have surveyed.
• find out about standard methods for surveying ponds and download survey methods and fieldsheets.
• find information on pond survey training courses.
