Having a pond is one of the best ways that you can quickly and easily help wildlife in your garden.

Pond Conservation invite you to Gardeners' World Live Hall 19 stand F6c, where we will give advice on how to make the most of your pond for wildlife, explain how to do the big Pond Dip and show you some live pond animals!
See some live pond animals
Do you know your dragonfly larvae from your diving beetles? Want to know if a water slater really looks like a woodlouse? Then come to the stand at Gardeners' World Live and get to know some of the smaller animals that you might find in your own pond.

Really clean water is essential for making the best wildlife ponds and you can do this by using rainwater only in your pond. The second most important thing is to have very shallow edges because this is where most of the wildlife lives. For more advice come and see us on the stand
Do the Big Pond Dip
There’s still time to do the Big Pond Dip, as shown on Blue Peter, to see if your garden or school pond is in good shape for wildlife. The survey is quick and easy to do – all you need is a kitchen sieve and a tray. Just download the dipping form and guide and let us have the results by end of August.
