Ponds for People provided communities with expert technical advice covering all aspects of the conservation of ponds.
This work often helped to deliver local and national Habitat and Species Action Plan objectives.
Through Ponds for People helped many different people, including children's groups (such as Brownies and Wildlife Watch groups), parish councils and local wildlife groups. We also encouraged new groups to form. Before any work began, the wildlife and archaeology of each pond site was carefully surveyed, to make sure that the project would achieve the best possible results for both heritage and wildlife.
