We are delighted to announce that our first corporate member has joined Pond Conservation’s new Corporate Membership Scheme.

Gordon Low Products, a family run business in Bedfordshire that manufactures pond and lake liners, enters the scheme at the level of ‘Corporate Friend’.

Part of Gordon Low’s corporate support for Pond Conservation’s work includes the supply of a 10m x 10.97m Firestone PondGard liner, which will be used to line a demonstration pond at Loddington, the main site of our water-friendly farming research project.

With 50 years’ experience behind them, Gordon Low supply liners for both small-scale projects – such as an award-winning show garden at Hampton Court – and large construction projects, such as an irrigation lagoon that holds 34 million litres of water.

The company also participated in our Million Ponds Project by supplying liners for 20 new ponds on the North Kent Downs, where the dry chalk substrate was not able to hold water naturally.

Ruth Low, Director of Gordon Low, says, ‘We believe that companies can achieve real results for biodiversity by working in partnership with charities, and we are very pleased to join Pond Conservation’s corporate scheme.’

Naturally, we hope that many more charities will share Ruth’s view! To find out more about the scheme, please contact slane@pondconservation.org.uk
